Baggage Allowance

Baggage Allowance is an intermedial work by Pamela Z exploring the concept of baggage and belonging(s). Comprised of performance, installation, and a web-based interface, Baggage Allowance considers the memories and objects we carry in order to better understand our relationship to the things we keep, which may be equal parts impediment and treasure. Inspired by her own extensive travel and sourcing language from found texts and interviews, Baggage Allowance reveals the “ball-and-chain-ness of dragging one’s things all over the world”.
