Tony Oursler: Video Works surveyed and exhibited works that were created between 1978 and 1987. While themes of dream, myth, violence, and madness were shared by this body of video works, the narrative complexity of these themes grew as Oursler’s signature hand-painted sets and wild props became increasingly expressionistic and elaborated. Tony Oursler: Video Works documented the artist’s growing artistic sensibility and understanding of space over the course of ten years.
