Liz Philips (b. 1951) is a pioneering multi-media artist, noted for her immersive, interactive electronic sound installations. Often utilizing the audience as a significant component of the work, Phillips' work created pieces that consider human interaction and how people interact with the space and each other. In 1981, she co-founded Parabola Arts Foundation, a not-for-profit organization created by five media artists from varied disciplines (music, sculpture, film, video) which provides funding for art-related projects.
