Dennis Cooper is an American writer and performance artist whose literary works include novels, short-story collections, poetry and essays. "The Undead," which was performed at the Kitchen in 1991, was a theatrical collaboration with choreographer Ishmael Houston-Jones and centered on the intertwining lives of a group of deeply alienated gay youth.
