Jamaican Music Festival

In 1981, The Kitchen hosted a Jamaican Music Festival on October 30 and 31. The two night festival featured Aksumites (with support from Cooyah), Frequency, and Iz's.  The video above is the Aksumites & Cooyah's full set.
The festival was curated by Habte Selassie. Dr. Basil Wilson spoke between the musical performances about the history of reggae music and Jamaican culture.
