Bruce Ditmas

Bruce Ditmas (1946-) is an American jazz drummer, composer and percussionist born in Miami. Ditmas has worked in jazz, commercial, theater and new music idioms, experimenting with a non-keyboard approach to these live performance instruments. Various different artists have utilized Ditmas' melodic drum work and percussive soundscapes in in their own concerts and recordings. The artist has also worked in video performance with Joan La Barbara; their collaborative videotapes have been presented to audiences across the country.
