ceases, still i see was a dance performance which interwove storylines from Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid” and Jean Genet’s Querelle, as well as incorporating sound elements from Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s film adaptation of the latter novel. Danced by performers Lisa Marielle Bleyer, Linda Sastradipradja, and koosil-ja, to music performed and composed by Yuval Gabay and Sandro van den Berghe, ceases, still i see focused on anguish, loss, and the human ability to communicate both emotions.
