Sarah Michelson’s Bessie Award-winning work Shadowmann was performed in two parts: part one at The Kitchen and part two at P.S. 122. It was choreographed by Michelson in collaboration with Parker Lutz, Mike Iveson, Tanya Uhlmann, and Greg Zuccolo, with music by Mike Iveson and video by Mike Taylor. The cast also featured Jennifer Howard, Sonja Kostich, Jm Leary, Paige Martin, Dylan Page, Greta Quinn Feit, Adrienne Swan, Emily Turco, and Lucy Watson. Each part was tailored to the site, but both involved repetition and technically challenging movement mixed with stillness. The program describes the piece as “an anti-epic.”
