Solo Music

 

 

Richard Landry, composer, saxophonist, and member of the Philip Glass Ensemble, presented Solo Music, a concert of his compositions, at The Kitchen on December 16th and 17th, 1976. Landry was accompanied on stage by fellow saxophonist and member of the Philip Glass Ensemble Richard Peck, violinist Michael Galasso, and engineer Kurt Munkasci. The concert included the compositions Solo Music, Music for Two Saxophones, and Quad Tape Music for 15 Saxophones and utilized a tape delay system, developed by Munkasci, to amplify various instrumental elements.
