Jamal Cyrus
Jamal Cyrus’s work is based on the revision of American history, through the African diaspora and the formulation of black political movements. His practice encourages meditation, mediation, and awareness of the political and social struggle. His work is also informed by the results of the encounter and the blending of many different cultures. In 2009, Cyrus had a solo exhibition at The Kitchen called Winners Have Yet to Be Announced.
