Arnold Dreyblatt is a media artist and a composer. As part of the second generation of New York minimalist composers, he studied video with founders of The Kitchen Woody and Steina Vasulka, and music with composers such as La Monte Young and Pauline Oliveros. Dreyblatt’s work ranges from multi-day performances to interactive artistic research. His visual pieces create textual and spatial visualizations, reflecting on archival themes and the recollection of memories. In his work as a composer, he has developed a system of tuning and invented a set of original instruments.
