Susan Rethorst and company performed Grey Marie and Beau Regard at The Kitchen in May 1993. The pieces deconstructed the movements of everyday life, as well as the intimacy and personality of specific gesture. The works were performed by Susan Braham, Maureen Ellenhorn, Jeanette Engler, Erin Fitzgerald, Cristina Latici, Jodi Melnick, Susan Rethorst, Vicky Shick, Christopher Caines, Tom Hackley, and Conor McTeague; Grey Marie featured only women, while Beau Regard incorporated the rest of the dancers and was accompanied by Bill Ruyle’s original compositions.
