Scott Heron is a dancer and performer. He attended the University of Texas Austin as a liberal arts student, and there unexpectedly met Deborah Hay. He participated in four of Hay’s large-group workshops, and later became an occasional touring guest of her Dance Company, interpreting her works from written sources. In the 1980s, Heron moved to New York, where pursued a career in dance. He performed with members of Movement Research and Performance Space 122, collaborating with artists including Yvonne Meier, DD Dorviller, and Linda Austin.
