Sam Kim is a New York-based choreographer whose work considers the nature of dance itself. Exploring the margins of an art form itself often passed over, Kim galvanizes her outsider position to reposition inherent power structures in the lasting legacies of dance. Born in Seoul, Korea, Kim grew up in the United States and has been creating creating work and collaborating with artists including Jennifer Monson and DD Dorvillier since 1995. In 2007 she presented the work dumb dumb bunny at The Kitchen.
