Pamela Z is a distinguished performer, composer, and media artist based in San Francisco. Her extensive work with voice combines sampled sound, live electronic processing, and video to generate complex sonic layers. In addition, Z uses MAX MSP, Isadora software, and MIDI controllers to manipulate image and sound through physical gesture. Z's pioneering digital looping techniques and experimental practice have earned her numerous grants and awards.
